  1. Amy, I though the lesson was great. The Venn diagram was a great way to compare and contast two dictatorships areound in the 1930s. You also choose a topic that I do not think has ever been taught in depth in any class that I have been in. It is an interesting topic and you brought out that there were really differences between theses countries that most people try to lump together. Only thing that I think would have helped would be to have the material separated trading papers between the groups could lead to some confusion during the lesson. It really was a great lesson and extremely well done. Great work!

  2. Amy, I thought your lesson was really good. You can tell you made a conscientious effort to take the criticisms we gave you and incorporate them into this lesson. Really a job well done. I enjoyed the activity that you gave us. I thought that the Venn diagram was a great way to sum up the major points in the articles. I didn't have much (really any) knowledge about the topic coming in, but I did take information away from it. That is what is most important!...

I agree with Al's comment above regarding materials. I think if you have articles we need to share, making an extra copy or two would avoid the confusion. That way we have everything we need right in front of us to complete the work. Plus, it could trigger conversation between students.

Other than that, I don't have much more to say in regards to criticism... It really was a good lesson. Keep up the good work!

  3. Hi Amy, fantastic job! It was a great way to compare and contrast different dictatorships in relatively recent history. It was a great way to get students to think about why dictatorships last, and why they fall. Good work!
